The short answer
Leaky ducts waste the air you pay to cool and heat, and pull dust into the system. Sealing them keeps conditioned air where it belongs. We clean the ducts first, so nothing gets sealed in.

Questions & answers
Duct sealing questions, answered
How do I know if my ducts are leaking?
Common signs are rooms that never get as cool as the rest of the house, high summer electric bills, a lot of dust settling soon after you clean, and a system that runs much longer than it used to. In Arizona attics, a leaking duct can also blow cooled air straight into a 140Β°F space. We test the system and show you what we find.
How much energy can duct sealing save?
ENERGY STAR estimates that a typical home loses 20 to 30 percent of the air moving through its ducts to leaks, holes and poorly connected sections. Sealing those leaks keeps that cooled air in your living space, which can lower your bills and help the A/C run less.
Why do you clean the ducts before sealing them?
So dust, debris and contaminants are not sealed inside the system. We clean first, then seal, so the air moving through your home is cleaner and the seal holds properly.
Are there rebates for duct sealing in Arizona?
Utilities sometimes offer them. SRP has offered rebates of up to $400 for professional duct testing and repair. Programs and amounts change, so check with SRP or APS, or ask us what is currently available before you book.
How long does duct sealing take?
Most homes take part of a day, depending on the size of the home and how much of the duct system needs work. We give you the price and the plan in writing before we start.
