May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to break the stigma and shine a light on the emotional well-being of the people behind the scenes — including those of us in the HVAC industry.

As a family-owned HVAC company serving the Phoenix Valley, we know firsthand how demanding this line of work can be. Long hours in the heat, emergency calls, physical labor, and the pressure to keep customers safe and comfortable — it all takes a toll. Yet, mental health is often the last thing discussed on job sites or in service trucks.

But it matters. A lot.

🧠 Why Mental Health Matters in the Trades

Tradespeople are tough — but that doesn’t mean they’re immune to stress, anxiety, or burnout. In fact, studies have shown that those in the construction and trades industries face higher-than-average rates of depression and suicide. We see that as a wake-up call to care not just about the temperature on your thermostat — but about the well-being of the people who install and service it.

What We’re Doing About It

Here at Pro Solutions Air, we’re taking small but meaningful steps to prioritize mental wellness:

  • Checking in on each other regularly — because a simple “How are you doing?” can go a long way.
  • Encouraging breaks and realistic workloads during the busy summer season.
  • Creating a work environment where it’s okay to ask for help or take a day to recharge.

Spreading Awareness Beyond Our Team

We also want our customers and community to know: mental health affects everyone. Whether you’re dealing with the stress of a broken AC unit in 110° heat or feeling overwhelmed in your daily life — it’s okay to talk about it. It’s okay to ask for support. And it’s okay to not be okay.

Join Us in Breaking the Stigma

If you’re a business owner, team leader, or even a customer, we encourage you to join us this May in recognizing Mental Health Awareness Month. Let’s normalize the conversation, check in on our friends and coworkers, and look out for one another — on and off the job site.

HVAC might be what we do, but it’s people who matter most. ❤️
