Improving Comfort and Efficiency: Duct Modification in McCormick Ranch, Scottsdale, AZ
At Pro Solutions Air, we know that every home is unique—and so are its HVAC needs. Recently, our team completed a duct modification project in McCormick Ranch, Scottsdale, AZ, where we moved existing ductwork from soffits under the roofline to the rooftop. This change not only improved airflow but also increased energy efficiency and enhanced the overall comfort inside the home.
Why Duct Modifications Matter
Ductwork is the backbone of your HVAC system, delivering heated or cooled air throughout your home. When ducts are not properly placed or sized, you may experience:
- Hot and cold spots in different rooms
- Higher energy bills due to inefficiency
- Strain on your HVAC system, shortening its lifespan
By modifying ductwork, we can improve airflow, balance temperatures, and make your system work smarter, not harder.
Scottsdale Project: From Soffits to Rooftop
For this new build in McCormick Ranch, the original design had ducts planned to run through the soffits under the roofline. While this layout can work, it often limits airflow efficiency and takes away from valuable indoor space. To optimize performance from the start, our team re-routed the ducts onto the roof—a modern, efficient solution that provided:
- Energy efficiency: Insulated rooftop ducts help reduce air loss and support lower utility costs from day one.
- Better airflow: Larger, streamlined duct paths were designed to maximize air distribution.
- Cleaner design indoors: By eliminating soffit ducting, the home gained a more open, seamless ceiling layout.
