Heating maintenance ยท Surprise, Arizona

Get Your Heater Checked Before Thanksgiving & Christmas

Guests are coming, snowbirds are back and the first cold nights are here. A heating tune-up now means no surprises with a full house, and no waiting in line after the first cold snap when everyone calls at once.

The short answer

Book your heating tune-up in November, before Thanksgiving and the first cold nights. A tune-up checks the burners and ignition (or heat strips and defrost on a heat pump), heat exchanger, safety controls, airflow, filter and thermostat, so small problems get fixed before the holidays. Annual maintenance plans start at $120 a year.

Why now

Why November is the time to book

Beat the first-cold-night rush

The first chilly week brings a wave of no-heat calls. Getting checked before then means you pick the day.

A full house for the holidays

Holiday guests, cooking and doors opening all day. You want heat you donโ€™t have to think about.

Dust burns off, problems show up

Heaters sit idle for most of the year here. Dust, worn igniters and weak capacitors show up the first time they run.

Gas safety

Gas furnaces and gas packs get a heat exchanger inspection and carbon monoxide safety checks.

Whatโ€™s included

  • Gas connections and safety controls
  • Carbon monoxide safety check
  • Blower motor and electrical inspection

Heat pump or electric heat

  • Heat strip and sequencer check
  • Defrost cycle and reversing valve test
  • Refrigerant operation check

Every tune-up includes a filter check. Want to skip monthly filter changes? Ask about our upgraded and elite filters that are changed once a year.

Before your guests arrive

A quick holiday heating checklist

Test the heat early

Run the heat for 20โ€“30 minutes before you need it. A light dusty smell the first time is normal.

Clear the vents

Move holiday furniture, rugs and decorations off supply and return vents.

Test CO alarms

Make sure carbon monoxide alarms work near bedrooms and the furnace.

Keep the furnace closet clear

No storage, gift wrap or boxes near the furnace. Why it matters โ†’

Common questions

Heating tune-up questions

When should I get my heater checked in Arizona?

In the fall, ideally October or November, before the first cold nights and before Thanksgiving. Heaters sit unused most of the year here, so problems tend to show up the first week they run.

Can I get my heater checked before Thanksgiving or Christmas?

Yes. Call or text (844) 943-6498 or book online. The earlier in November you book, the more appointment times youโ€™ll have to choose from.

Is a heating tune-up worth it in Arizona?

Yes. Heaters here run only a few months a year, so worn igniters, dirty sensors and weak parts often go unnoticed until a cold night. A tune-up catches them early and keeps gas appliances safe.

What is included in a heating tune-up?

Burner, igniter and flame sensor checks and heat exchanger inspection on gas heat; heat strip, defrost and refrigerant checks on heat pumps; plus safety controls, electrical, airflow, filter and thermostat checks on every system.

Do heat pumps need a heating tune-up?

Yes. A heat pump heats and cools, so it works almost all year. A fall check of the defrost cycle, heat strips and reversing valve keeps it ready for winter.

How much does a heating tune-up cost?

Annual maintenance plans start at $120 a year and include scheduled tune-ups, priority service and member savings. Call for current tune-up pricing and seasonal specials.

Get your system checked before the holidays.

Call, text or book online. We service furnaces, heat pumps and gas packs across the West Valley.
